    Hiya gang...

Have a slight problem with Windows Server 2008 Enterprise SP2.

I have the DNS server running and it's been working correctly for many years now.... or at least I thought it did. I own the domain tequilamockingbirdonline.net and have a sub-domain of hub-tequilamockingbirdonline.net that I'm pointing to a Raspberry Pi on the network. All DNS hosting is done on NO-IP.com including the AAAA record.

On the network there is the 2008 Server, a Dell laptop and the Pi. The laptop and the Pi see the sub-domain and can ping it without any issues. The server I get this...

    C:\sbbs\exec>ping hub.tequilamockingbirdonline.net
Ping request could not find host hub.tequilamockingbirdonline.net. Please check the name and try again.

Anyone have a solution to this issue? Without the server recognizing that domain I can't use the Pi as a netowrk hub.

    Thanks in advance...

I found the issue. I had to open the server's DNS Manager and under Foward Lookup Zones, I had to add the name "hub" under the main domain for both the IPV4 and IPV6 addresses. The main server now sees hub.tequilamockingbirdonline.net.

    My eyes hurt... lol!!
