  • Win 10 Install

    I had intended to wait until December to try Win 10 but I relented and installed it on a Del Laptop running Win 7 Professional 64 bit.
    I have mixed feelings. First it took almost Three Hours to install and
    it is VERY slow i nbooting up in fact almost takes THREE times longer to
    cold boot. And even a reboot taeks more then TWICE as long as Win 7


    The up side is that it boots to my old win 7 screen perfectly.
    No tweeking or fiddiling to get rid of the stupid win 8 tile screen

    I've found the complete opposite here. The boot times are drasticly
    faster. I was having an issue with it shutting down my virtual servers
    and corrupting them, but I /think/ i have that under control.

    I don't know about Windows 10, but I've found the boot time in Windows 7
    faster than XP. For now, I'm going to stay with Windows 7.

    Win 10 has lot of missing problems in it, as the explorer have trouble with some files in both http and ftp connection for download, then is it not good for old door games as a upgrade from win7 to win10 is the dos prompt not so good as in win 7 as win10 prompt gives error for ols 16bit files and program. Win 10 has too problem by some monitor drivers it loosing from time to time.

    Could be a wise move.
    I had expecting a faster boot particualrly since it
    was a clean machine, A Refirbished Dell Laptop with
    a fresh install of Win 7 64 bit.

    Haven't had that issue here, but as I said I was pretty lucky this time around! ;)
