I can make another list, but we need a wiki and we need people to actually help work on the stuff!

I'll definitely help. I just need a stable, reliable, and long term
place to do so. Once you figure out what you want to use and provide the wiki (or if you want, I can set one up here to make sure both of us have access to it? I'm already running apache), and are happy with it and
will stick with it till the bitter end, I will definitely help transfer the old documentation over, as well as help add the new stuff.

Is this problem still relevant? Curious because I know wiki.mysticbbs.com does not respond for me right now.

Yes it's also down when I try and reach it too... I don't think the issue of a nextgen wiki has been sorted. g00r00 did start to create something at SourceForge but I'm not sure it was ever resolved if this would be where
things would reside or if another wiki platform hosted somewhere else was more favoured?

Hmmm, okay. Well, I do have an available option if it's desired. I run several DigitalOcean VPS's, and can either host a simple DokuWiki as what was used before, or of course, I can recommend DigitalOcean as an option to use for it. They have prices that just cannot be beat, such as $5/mo for a 512 MB RAM and 20GB SSD Disk storage, or $10/mo for 1GB RAM and 30GB storage.

I've got plenty of space available on my main webserver to offer some storage for running DokuWiki which requires nothing special beyond local disk storage. I in fact have my own DokuWiki instance on my server already.

I also have Drupal running there which uses the database server on another VM instance there, which is publically facing at linux-help.org. My kind of personal "wiki" per-se for providing lots of help for anyone trying to do
stuff in Linux, learning simple to advanced topics. Soon I'll have a Wiki section in their for BBSs, specifically intended for supporting Mystic,
    dosemu, and stuff related.

On that server, I wouldn't be able to offer ssh access to the server as that would compromise the security of my stuff a bit too much, but I do maintain everything there and anything needed I could get done. At the minimum, I could likely at least provide chroot'd sftp, or FTP-S access to a dokuwiki instance so /that/ part could be managed entirely by someone.

If you prefer paying 5~10/mo, please refer to linux-help.org/donate Digital Ocean link, just so I can get credit for referrals. :)

That's a very kind offer. It's really over to g00r00 to decide which bit of
wki software to use and where to host it. If you read back through some of the past posts you'll find quite a bit of info where various software options were discussed and some dialogue about hosting / systems for ensuring folks have access to maintain the content.

Given g00r00 is developing Mystic in his spare time (of which there's next to zero of it until sometime towards the end of Sept as I understand) I'd say
this topic is definately on the TODO but not necessarily near the top of the list.

Access Denied will be able to shed further light ;-)

No, we lost it and all the work I put into it. Not that I spent a ton of
time, but I did go through the code and compile a list of every MCI code,
every menu command, every display file, etc. And I also documented ACS
system, a bunch of MPL stuff, etc.

I think we decided that JP (he hosts mysticbbs.com) would set up a Wiki, but then we never agreed on something. I posted a few options and asked for feedback but I never took it further, even though a couple of people did answer.

The wiki I picked out had an impressive list of features but it was very
poorly written as noticed by Access Denied, so that kind of went down the drain.

I would like to have one with a WYSIWYG editor, which limits options. And the ability to either approve submissions, or easily rollback submissions to a specific point just in case someone does malicious editing.

Exporting to PDF or Word or even HTML would be nice too.

We could also just make an HTML system and include it with Mystic or as a separate download. This could be hosted on mysticbbs.com or downloaded. The HTML files would have to be hand-edited but we could make a GIThub site or something for it.

As always, I'm open to any and all suggestions for Wiki or documentation
revamp (it doesn't even HAVE to be a Wiki).

This is a non-option for me, specifically. Mystic is free, and I already put
a lot of time and sometimes money into it, not to mention the money I lose by not working on something I could get paid for instead. :)

JP has hosted mysticbbs.com and has paid for the domain without accepting any help financially from me, and he also said he will install and host a wiki.

So we have a host we just need to tell JP want to do (and JP offer still
stands if you want me to send you some $$$ for all of your help!).

    Wish list for Wiki:

    1. WYSIWYG editor
    2. Ability to easily rollback changes or the ability to approve submissions
    before they take effect.
    3. Ability to export a backup of the Wiki itself.
    4. Ability to export as HTML, PDF with acceptable results.
    5. Ability to have user accounts, email verified, and access levels to define
who can edit vs who can not (if we decide to not allow public edits).

See? Thats the reason we get nowhere because I've been a pain in the ass
about features. :) I don't want to mess with formatting so much as I want to spend time creating content, so WYSIWYG-type editing would be ideal if I do a wiki.

I also like a clean interface. SourceForge Wiki for example has a clean interface, but its a featureless mess.

How can I noticed something is poorly written when I can't code my foot to my own ass? Was I just giving you reviews or something? :)

Because their demo site was painfully slow and it errored quite a bit, which
I think you pointed out. I tried it too and even simple tasks seemed like a lot of work for that wiki, so it seems to be poorly written to me.
