    Howdy! Holger,

This evening I got a reply to an Email I sent to Tom Walker.
    Tom said:

"I'm doing as well as can be expected. The old body is so worn out that
I sleep most of the time.
Miss the old gang but am just now up to doing anything."

    Thanks for the info.
It's sad to learn that he's so worn out.
Still, he is almost a year younger than I, but we are all different.

Despite that fractured neck-of-the-femur in january, I'm now doing 5 km
daily 'Scandinavian walking', in lieu of the previous 10 km, but my
sight is set to 10 km again

If you have further contact with Tom, give him my best regards.

    GE Ed,

I don't want You having anymore January type occurances.

Neither do I. At the moment it seems that my left hip/leg will never get
back to the original function, even though I note every once in a while
some improvements. Now I walk around at home without a walking stick.

The reason to the reduced function is probably the extra fall at home
when the head surgeon decided that I was fit enough to be sent home even
though I said that I wanted to stay there a couple of additional days.

That extra fall probably destroyed part of the repair that was made, and
I had to lay still in the hospital for a week before they sent me to the
    rehab clinic.

    I haven't yet checked, but I ought to have Tom's e-mail address,

That is why I CC:'d You in my Email so You could have a personal QSO

Actually I didn't have it so I picked up from your e-mail. TU.

I hope not. I just blame it on too much other things that must be done.

    Have a good night,

Not much improvement noted lately, so I have to accept the situation. Nevertheless, I do go a 5km "scandinavian walk" every day if it doesn't
rain. That's half the distance of what I did B4 the lemur broke.
