There again, when I implemented SqaFix, I already had a bunch of echo areas, and defined letters for my needs at that time, and with at
least four different sources of echomail material, I did have to
break things out to get the automated adding to function the way I wanted....
Strange thing is that I just copied another setup
whicvh does work, so why this fails is past me :)

I wonder if we are hitting a CR/LF vs unix new line or some other
white space issue under a Unix / Linux type setup..... Good luck figuring out what broke the program. If you do, let us know.
