    What are folks using to create SEA ARC compatible mail bundles? For unknown reasons, my system has just started having trouble running pkarc.

    You don't mention what platform...

    I use arca and arce to add/extract under dos here.

    have you tried new copies of the pkarc executibles? i've found that in some cases, i have to delete the old ones and then put new ones in place... there have been times that overwritting did not work as one would expect... possibly due to some disk or sector damage or such...

    Funny you should mention that, as there have been a few instances where I've had executables go screwy on me and only refreshing it from a distribution archive seemed to fix the problem. Weird...

    Win/XP. I picked up arca myself, and it seems to work just fine. Why pkarc got finicky, I don't know.

    PKPak is not compatible with the original ARC (for packing).

    I did try replacing, but not exactly what you said. PKArc wasn't failing absolutely, but it seemed to be interacting with memory in odd ways. I could run it once or twice, then it would stop.

    Bizarre.
