• synchronet 3.19b and windows xp

    hello not sure if im in the right place to post this
    I have an old Windows xp machine with a fresh install
    of windows xp with sp3
    installed the visual runtimes
    and installed synchronet, installed fine
    but when the system starts up to go through the configuration
    wiz. i get a error message that says
    sbbsctrl.exe entry point not found
    "the procedure entry point inet_ntop could not be located in the dynamic link library ws2_32.dll"
    i checked the file is in my windows system32 directory
    anyone come by this and know a fix

    Yup, install a recent v3.20 development build (sbbs_dev.zip and sbbs_run.zip) over the v3.19b and it'll work on XP.
