    Question time

Is there or going to be a new version of http.js?

Here is a paste from Mark at bbslink

    Hi Greg,

The only time I've heard of problems with http.js has been when it needs updating. I'm guessing you've installed a fresh version of Synchronet though...

It might be worth checking the Synchronet repository to see if there's a newer version there you can drop into your installation.

    Mark.

I keep getting a error on line 116 when trying to connect to bbslink game
server, now I have to ask also what would http.js do with a I'm guessing
    a outbound terminal connection.

Only way to learn is to ask!
    Oh question is for 320a

    Have you properly configured BBSLink?

Do you have bbslink.js in your MODS directory, after editing it to
contain the codes/password that you were given by the BBSLink operator?

Sounds like the likely reason that you are "unable to connect".

    BBSLink works fine here.

That error does not indicate a problem with http.js, but rather a problem with the address or port specified. The current http.js in git has more detail in that error message (includes the address and port number attempted to connect to), so it does in fact appear you're not using the latest and greatest. Not sure if that'll make any difference in your case however.

Sounds good to me it's worth a try, what is the best way for me to get
    the newer version?

    Thanks for the help.

According to the PID in the header of your message, you're running Synchronet v3.20a (the current development build), so apparently you missed a step in the updating of your run-time files (e.g. load/*.js) to accompany the souce code for the current development build.

    See http://wiki.synchro.net/install:dev#run-time_files for details.
