    I've been told this can be done, they just do C, and not FPC so
    they're not sure how I'd do it

    Do it the same way as you would call any other C function from FPC.

    if worst comes to worst do it in C and link it to your program.

    Bye <=-

    Thanks, but I got no idea how to do it in C, and couldn't read the code even if
    I had it :P

    That's why I'm using Pascal, heh. :)

    Can you post the C source and maybe we can help to convert this
    to pascal??

    I'd have to find the C source, I've not seen it myself, just been told
    it can be done. the #Linux channels on IRC are somewhat less than
    helpful at the best of times, especially to people who don't believe
    "Real Coders use C/C++". :)

    If you find the source code, you can post it here or in the pascal area (the pascal area has more listeners I think).

    Hey All!

    Yup, but nobody is interested in writing...

    Well most of us don't need lessons (thus the
    echo for pascal lessons). So we just lurk
    in the pascal echo :)

    Well..I DO need lessons, but my teacher is so _good_, so I gotta
    look twice as good just to understand what is this all about :) But,
    time is on my side :))))

    Well in that case just ask. Everyone started at ground 0.
    For me pascal started in the late '80s...

    Good teacher eh? That's rare. Alot of programming teachers
    aren't :). I only had maybe 2 (including the pascal,
    cobol one) and another teacher that knew their stuff. The
    other teachers including one we in college had to get
    fired cause she sucked big time were eitehr lousy or
    just did stuff from the book (ie wasn't innnvative or
    didn't know the language too well).

    Actually one other professor was very good now that
    I think of it.
