  • Borland Turbo Pascal v7 replacement?

    Hello All!

    Any one know of a replacement running under Linux or Windows that will compile TP v7 code with minimum changes?

    Existing code was compiled to run on msdos, Windows and OS/2 as a univeral model,
    I'm only interested in running msdos (maybe) Windows and Linux through terminal mode
    but that said it does use some libraries to allow this to happen.

    Guess so, but I assume that you tried FPC? And it didn't work out?

    Free Pascal or Virtual Pascal, tho I think Free Pascal would be your best bet ...

    Falls over at the beginning of the main file, seems there is quite a few units not present that are in TP.

    so the units need rewrite to free pascal if its non standard pascal, alot of work but it can be done ?

    Only used it to compile "errorflags" program and it went well, not a programmer, but I generally manage to compile the code I need ... , so far ... :-)
