PS: I *do* have used 2.88 floppy drives in the past and there is just
now such a drive in front of me. Unfortunately it's from a PS/2 and
does not have a power connector. Made by Mitsubishi, manufactured for

The problem is that IBM used various different pins of a special
single cable to connect the PS/2 2.88 to the MB. Trying to adapt
a PS/2 drive to a non-PS/2 MB could theoreticaly be done, but you
might damage the MB in the trying and the amount of time required
would be prohibitive.
