• All I want for Xmas...

From Randal Putnam@1:213/742 to All on Fri Dec 15 03:18:20 2000
I'm going to be taking down this BBS in a couple of months. I'll be offering another one from my home computer, but that runs Windows (sigh).

Due to this development, I would like to find someone willing to take over the echo rather than disappearing. I have suggested just dropping echo, but this hasn't gone over in the past.

So.. who would like an echo for Christmas. I'll open it for discussion. Consensus wins. Let's give it until January 5 and then I'll email the password to the winner or post a close echo message on Z1_Backbone.

    Thanks

Thank you. One vote for Mark Lewis.

I haven't done much in the couple of years I've been keeping it listed. Post rules occasionally get something moving. A lot of echos are just abandoned. Since I'll be dropping the OS2 DOS Window BBS, I'll be cutting my last tie to OS2.

    Thanks

Make me an offer I can't refuse... :) I run a totally DOS
    based BBS and mailer, under OS/2 WARP3 fp42, on a 486dx4-100
    w/32M ram, 8 CD's, and carry/hub 5 different networks. I also
moderate a few echos in the STN, and a local one, here on my
board. If you don't get any better takers.... Let me know

Been there, done that... all I want is to see the echo continue.
Regardless of who is at the helm. :)
