From John Donohue@1:397/5258 to All on Wed Dec 25 23:21:58 2002
    - have any of you run, or known of anyone else to have run, RBBS or WWIV dos bbs software under OS/2?

    - anybody but me still reading this echo? ;-)

when I switched my systems from dos to OS/2, I dropped everything that didn't have an OS/2 native version, with one exception. I'm still using SEAL 0.50 to do my echo area changes and .TIC processing. I've also got a question about some minor annoyance I've noticed running SEAL in a dos box, but I'll have to
check the logfile on my other system to see exactly what it was that I thought
looked a bit strange. I'll have to post on that one here at a later date.

Still lurking :-) Running the DOS version of EleBBS here - one day I might just
get around to swapping to the native OS/2 one, but there's no great reason too anymore :-( Very few callers.

    cheers,

    No.

I am. Unfortunately, I run RemoteAccess (another DOS BBS) under OS/2, using Fastecho to toss messages and Allfix to toss files, so I can't answer your real
    questions.

Does WildCat v4.20 count? Been running WC under OS/2 since
    mid-late 90's (96ish??) makes for some interesting setups.. :^)

    Of course.. ;*)

If there's anything that I might assist with, let me know. Also
have a help file here, called FULLOS2.ZIP that can be freq'ed
(FTSC or email using IREX formatted requests) that offers
numerous tips and utilities to assist in getting a Dos based BBS
up and running under OS/2. It might have the tip, or utility that
    you are looking for/thinking of...

Can't help you with your BBS package, but I do run SEAL under OS/2 for both file and message area processing w/Maximus and Squish. Will keep an eye out for any SEAL questions I can help ya with.
