How about D'Bridge adding a TZUTC kludge to messages it generates? Should be easy enough to implement!?

Seriously, why wouldn't you implement it?
So I was going through some areas to look at the usage of the TZUTC flag, a was surprised how little it is used.

I never said I wouldn't. I noted the request.
Somewhere between a magical mystical sexy fancy Linux version
and support for Squish/JAM/Synchronet/Wildcat/Whatever I'll add
something for this. Possibly just code for the editor to add whatever user-defined kludges defined.

You have to remember that a lot of Fido products were written during a time when Echomail was really becoming popular and programmers could
not necessarily agree on what kludges to implement as standard. A lot
of software really implemented what was "required" and not proposals.
INTL and FMPT/TOPT come to mind... I'm sure theres others.

Btw: Your editor is broken. It cut out part (the letter 'e') of my original text in the quote.
And there is no reply kludge, so the reply-chain gets broken. :-(

Of course, but the TZUTC kludge is a standard now:

I know, this is my BBS software, not the mailer thats doing that.
I have the source code to my BBS software but have not gotten around to fixing the linking. The message quoting I'm not touching with a ten-foot-pole.

I shall add it then...

you do realize that it won't/shouldn't change messages that he posts from within his renegade bbs, right? ;)

One doesn't exclude the other! He has the source, so there is still hope, he might fix that too... ;)
