Is there a way to get an ANSI file to pause for 1 or 2 seconds at the
end, after its been displayed without user input??

There are a couple of ways the easiest in most cases is to use the |DE
mci code which delays for half a second. So if you want to pause for 2 seconds just put 4 |DE mci codes at the end of the file.

Okay I have been playing with this and cannot seem to get it to work... So, at the end of the file I add "4 |DE" to delay for 2 seconds or "20 |DE" to delay for 10 seconds... all this without the quotes.

I think you'd put:
"|DE |DE |DE |DE" (without the quotes, can probably remove the spaces as well)
