    Hello, All!

How to launch the mystic bbs from mailer, like t-mail or any other? Which parameters are needed?

    Bye.

With the current versions, I do not think you can. IIRC, I believe you will need to go back to 1.07 to do this.

If you are using a stand alone mailer to transport packets between systems
you could then call MUTIL and the echomail import function with a .ini file
to import the packets... I think this may be what you are asking?

I think he is referring to something such as D'Bridge or FrontDoor.

Yep in which case the advice stands as MUTIL can be called by such a mailer
to import packets or export packets to to the directory/outbound of the same mailer to send away to others :)

Although why you would want to do that when Mystic has built in options like BinkP etc. alway is a mystery to me :)

Think not mail nor mailer-type functions. He wants to run his BBS from the mailer (not MIS).

    Cheers,
    Paul.

There may not be a way with the current Mystic, which I do _not_ run. As Robert Wolfe said, it used to work with version 1.07 Mystics. I used to use...

    M:\MYSTIC\mystic.exe -B%B -N%n -TID%h

..with my Radius mailer (and still do, BTW). ['-B' tells Mystic some other program is starting it. '-N' gives the node number to use. I think '-TID' is the "socket" rather than a COM port... I forget... this _is_ all telnet only, and I discovered all this over 15 years ago. I've had a few sleeps since then.]

It may still work,,, no guarantees. ;)

    Cheers,
    Paul.

Sorry, no. I tried... and tried. The ability to do so (in GoldEd) relates to the code page that your(?) Windows boots up to. (I use CP437 in whatever Windows legacy installs I still have.) With Mystic, I would not know where to start.

    Good luck!

    Cheers,
    Paul.
