Can anyone comment on the "R30" Live DVD?

I've got the "Rush In Rio" set...it's pretty good, so I was surprised to
find that they recently released R30 so soon after Rio.

(Of course the one I really wanted was a companion to "Different Stages"...)

The best part of Rush In Rio is the "Boys in Rio" companion disc. That's awesome!

Is it worth getting? The set seems similar to Rio but there's some
    different stuff on there too.

I wonder if they got rid of the washer/dryer set they had onstage...

Yeah it's a good disc set that's for sure.

I'm also enjoying the hell out of Alex Lifeson's appearance on the Trailer
    Park Boys too...

A friend of mine got it and he was raving about it for awhile. I have
Rio and he's seen that one, he said that R30 was better. I hope to get
a chance to check it out in the next week or so.

Hopefully! :) I was wondering why the hell they had that there. Maybe signifying that they were domesticated now? ;)

You know, at one point someone told me what the reason for it was, and I've completely forgotten what it was.

They even dragged the washer/dryer set on stage when they did the SARS
benefit concert in Toronto a few years back, so it must be important!

I guess it depends on how big of a Rush fan you are. If they put every single tour on DVD I'd buy 'em. <shrug>

No, Geddy's still got that "rig" on stage. :-)

Nah, it's Geddy's "bass rig". Since he really just plays through a side-stage amp/effects rack, he doesn't really need *anything* behind him stage left. The appliances are just there to fill the void. :-)

Heh...Well I've got pretty much all their albums (except the covers album
they just released...can't get into that one). Live albums are touch and go with me in general. Sounds like this one is worth getting though.

heh..well, I'm going to have to hit Google to refresh my memory on what that means. :)
