    Hello, All.

Does anyone have a MEX or something that will allow a user to reset their last read pointer in a message base? I haven't found anything yet and I'm suspecting that I may have to try to learn MEX and write one myself.

Haven't looked exactly at this, but a beautiful site with HUGE support for things like this is at:

    www.filegate.net

I'd guess that anything you might want like this could be downloaded from
    the site.

And for a joke here only, chortle

Dogs have, say, a thousand times better ability to analyze the smell of anything than we humans do. If you want a dog to remember you for life all you
have to do is blow in it's nose. So told me by a fido friend decades ago. Who
also, believe it or not, finished this comment by telling me that you don't ever do this with a cat in your arms when you coach the dog. Chomp.

I know about that filebase, Mike: I'm the one that provided it to Janis to put on her site and I have that entire filebase for download off of my BBS. :)

Gary Gilmore gave me his entire website before he "retired" from BBSing back in
the early naughts and I still have it.

    Thanks anyway!

Did you check out this one?

    srlr102.zip 10k Store/Restore LastRead v1.02 Two MEX
Message/QWK utils for Max 3.01+. Keeps records of lastread message numbers or sets the lastread message numbers by stored record in Squish areas. FREEWAR

This one is in the general /maximus_bbs/* directory here, not in maxfdn file areas.. I think maximus_bbs is just a collection of files I had collected over time before you sent over the maxfdn files.

Yeah, I did, and unfortunately that doesn't work right. I just haven't ever had time to sit down and figure out what's wrong.

Thanks for looking though, I appreciate it!
