From Richard Webb@1:116/901 to all on Sun May 11 01:57:08 2008
    Hello all!

Can anybody possibly tell me the ascii code of the high ascii characters found in this file? Once I find those magic numbers I can do some things in a batch to remove them and make direct use of it in a couple other applications.

    Thanks,

    Regards,
    Richard

    Suggestion Richard ..

If you have any access to the old utility LIST.COM for DOS from 1996,you simply
'LIST' the file. In it you can see each character over on the left side of the
page. On the right side of the screen is the ASCI character for every character in the file. The utility ought to be available on most of the old MS-DOS archives. My executable is:

    10-31-96 3:48a 24681 0 LIST.COM

Sleep well; OS/2's still awake! ;)

I think that's Vernon Buerg'slist. SPelling might be wrong on his last name. I think I have an 1/1/93 of that which i use with inspect and other utilities.
I may see if that does it though.

tHanks, will see if it gives me the ascii values of those characters. sYnthesized speech doesn't do wlel with them, and I don't need them for what I want to do.

I have not the foggiest notion if it would work on a network drive on Windows whatever. I have no Win boxes attached in any way to any network as this operation is a solid OS/2 operation everywhere and also OS/2 or rarely Linux in
most every other person's use around me.

I have a 1998 version that works perfectly on dos, 98, or xp with the exception
of post 2000 dates (which are just plain screwed up!). If you can live with that (I do) I can happily send you that copy!

    Cheers... Dallas
