for Maximus 3.0.3 Linuxversion, 1. A utility that lets
readers scan for mail for them, it should also allow them to reply to their messages. 2. Some Online games! or at least some tips
on how to interface both Msdos based doors and generic Unix/Linux
games. 3. Looking for some good MEX code I can
examine/compile. I found a few programs but I am looking for more.

I am finally going to get down and dirty and get my Maximus
bbs a little more souped up. Everytime I post here (it aint my systems problem, may be my hubs upstream, I never get a response. I hope this
time something goes through.) I need to find some "goodies for Maximus 3.0.3 Linux version,

Not sure if this is going to go out but I hope it gets out somehow. you can email me at bichela3@yahoo.com as well.
2. Some Online games! or at least some tipsI remember the browse command and last time I tried it... it did not give me the ability to reply to my messages when reading them. I will have to give it a revisit. How can I do the users a favor and have browse scan all of their tagged message areas when they log in?

1) Maximus has that capability built-in. Look at the
B)rowse Messages command carefully.
2) I wish you good luck with that, but I believe you'llI had assumed Dosemu would be required but I haven't tried it yet. May have to run the squish mailer under Dosemu as the Linux based version has some mites that are driving both me and my HUB nuts. Its Pack verb doesn't work and his dearchiver for his Windows boxen is not working correctly (thats not our problem fortunatly but he wanted me to test packing in ZIP and it wouldn't pack
need DOSEMU to do so and a dash of patience.
3) IIRC, MEX programs do not work under the LinuxThat isn't quite true. I have compiled a few programs in mex and they ran fine. That is of course using the maximus source of the CVS tree and using the MEX source code of the program. Precompiled MEX binaries don't run at all. (no surprise). Therefore the biggest thing for me is.. finding more mex source code so I can learn the language as well as expirement with whats out there.
compile (if I remember what Wes said correctly).
I downloaded a bunch of MEX stuff from outpostbbs...
Most of it is avaiable on his website (I think
www.outpostbbs.net) or failing that you can get it
here, but I have limited bandwith. http://t1ny.kicks-

ShawnThanks! I shall look at both locations.
Wishing you much luck in the pursuit of this goal, IDid you not know that Maximus is now a sourceforge project using the original Maximus source code released by Dudly himself? Thats the cude I run under native Linux. Originally I used to run Opus 1.73a back in the 90s. but it wasn't available as source code. When Scott Dudly released the Source code of Maximus and Squish as open source, I as a Linux user jumped to try the early portage of the package. Just make sure to get the CVS updates from sourceforge after you grab the initial Linux release to get current..
used to run Maximus on
OS/2 and WIN98 before I moved to Linux but due to
Maximus source not being
released I moved to MBSE BBS, which I find very
capable, and works flawlessly,
but it is not Maximus, ...
