    I always thought it was Eric Idle singing that. He did have the best singing voice of the lot.

    Correct me if I'm wrong. Great song though....

    HMMM. I always thought it was Michael Palin due to the accent and
    inflections in the speaking parts.

    Sorry for the delayed reply, but I have been quite busy.
    In played the Contractual Obligation Album a couple of times and I think I have to change my opinion.
    I now also think that Michael Palin is the artist in this song. What has not changed is my opinion: One of the best Python songs; I do not recall this
    song being performed on TV. Anybody know better?

    No, it was not performed on TV. I believe it was made specifically for
    that album.
