• Polling With MBSE

    Just a quick question.. How do you make MBSE actually poll out.. I'm using the correct mbout commandline but all it does is create the poll, but never actually makes the network call...

    The poll sits there forever until I tell mbut to end it, but it never actually makes the call.. I have to force it to call using mbcico .. or is this how its supposed to be done?

    I'm at a loss.. if you have to manually tell it to poll that kind of refutes the point of using mbout lol

    Out of interest I am running mbse v1.0.7.6 which is available on SF.

    and I did as you, mbout p f426.n229.z1

    and after some seconds did poll.

    Have you also set up this site in your node lists (7.) and if so is there some setting within 7.3 or even 7.1 that over rides the NODELIST settings?

    Is mbtask running? If so, load mbmon and display the server statistics (option 2.) Check to see if it shows your Internet as up. If it doesn't, check the IP addresses you entered in mbsetup option 18 (Task Manager) to make sure that they are responding to pings. If both of them are not, mbtask will think your internet connection is down and not attempt any outbound internet calls.

    Good call... I never even thought of that.. I set 2 IP's to ping and everything
    automagically started working lol.. call that a learning curve
