Rob:
I run a WC BBS and IREX v2.29
Ever since my Fidonet uplink upgraded to your new BINKIT I have been getting two different BinkP errors in IREX whenever I download or upload a message packet . Nothing is wrong with the packets but I never used to get these errors before he upgraded. I'm not sure if you are already aware of it.
Hoping you can correct the closing of the connection so there are no more errors.
Thanks, Lee

If you could have the link send me the equivalent BinkIT log output from those
sessions, that'd help to determine *why* it's dropping the connection.
Or, it might be easier, if we just setup a link between us which we could use ->for testing IREX compatibility with BinkIT. Then I can monitor the logs and ->make experimental changes as needed. Maybe send me a netmail with the session ->password you want to use and you could pull echoes from me just as a test.

I'm the link, I don't see a lot of logging in my fido.log file. Is there a log somewhere else for binkit sessions outside of the file specified in echocfg?

For incoming BinkP sessions, the BinkIT activity is logged where your "services" activity is logged. In Windows, that'd be in the "Services"window
of the Synchronet control planel. Like this (copy/pasted from sbbsctrl):1:10/0@fidonet
9/14 02:45:44p 8116 BINKP connection accepted from: 67.180.133.226 port 62645

9/14 02:45:49p 8116 BINKP service thread terminated (0 clients remain, 0 total, 983 served)
On *nix, this is typically found in your syslog output when running sbbs daemonized.
For outgoing BinkP sessions, the BinkIT activity is found where your
are logged, on Windows, that'd be the "Events" window of the SynchronetControl
Panel, like this:started

You can adjust the logging verbosity by changing the LogLevel value either
your sbbs.ini or using the controls in sbbsctrl.playing.

Thanks -- I manually forced a poll and sent Lee the contents. I'll look in ->the log when Lee polls me next to see if it's a one-way thing.

Seems to only happen if I poll you.
