• IRex <-> Binkit?

    From Kurt Weiske@1:218/700 to All on Mon Jan 7 23:22:35 2019

    Has anyone had problems connecting Irex to Binkit, the new Synchronet BINKP server? I'm having password problems connecting to one of my nodes, wondering if it's a CRAM-MD5 incompatibility.

    It was an issue with BinkIt and numeric passwords. All fixed, with your help! :-)

    i believe rob has fixed a bug related to binkit's session level passwords... something about passwords that are all digits... other than that, some mailers are not case insensitive with regard to session level passwords... for most of them, they store the those passwords all upper case... in all those instances, i've had to use upper case passwords with them... not only with binkit but also
    with binkd and other binkp capable mailers...

    I caught Rob on IRC last night, he had me patch and test binkit and he's already committed the fix. Great experience.

    Doubt it, but I guess you never know.
