Hiya....
Quick question. I'm trying to input a session level password in the
Node Mgr and the area is not accessable for me to change it. I'm
using FD 2.25+ as the mailer type and using Synchronet mail tosser.
The sbbs echocfg will allow me to put in a pkt password but I really
don't care about that.
BTW, the TransX field is set to compatable although I have it toggled
off.
One other thing.... I have an updated and compiled FD nodelist in the
path that IRex asks for and when I toggle "Send to Unlisted Nodes" to
Yes, it never stays and goes back to No. Right now I am using
route.rex but I'd rather not have to route netmail through my uplink.
My copy of Irex is registered... 50 nodes and server functions to 2
users. Will I need a different key and string to activate those
functions?
Any ideas?
I've run into the session password thing before, but I don't recall what
it was that finally allowed that field to be used. It has something to do with the way you've configured the node, but I don't recall the switch
that turns that session field on/off. It might do some good to delete that node's config, exit rexcfg and start over...sometimes rex doesn't write
the cfg files correctly.

Try advanced. I originally set mine to expert, but Advanced gives me
more options

Could be. Mine is set at Expert...

You might do yourself some good by saving your configuration files and re-installing IREX executables...that's about the only thing left to do in my experience with it.

That's exactly what I did. Started from scratch and it allowed me
to enter both the Password password and session level at first.
Once I saved the rexcfg, closed it and them re-opened it.. all
passwords were greyed out again... and the send to unlisted nodes
was back to No. lol!!
Back to the drawing board...

so... you got this figured out, yet?
just asking so as to complete the thread in here so others following
along and possibly looking for the solution can find it ;)
