When I upgraded to 2.31 I am getting the following dns error and I would like to know how to fix it.

2:25 d1st.org doesn't exist, or DNS setup incorrectly.

I did a Ping and Tracert on that site and it returns as good. Avg 73ms
return on 4 pkts sent.

The tracert showed a few timed out delays, so I'd advise that you config
REX with a little more time to resolve the route before it gets to
d1st.org (50.142.74.88)...

Also, make sure that you have the right port open in any router you may be using...ftp defaults to port 21...Rex will sit there and attempt a
connect, even if that port is blocked, and report what you're seeing in
your logs.

In your node manager setup area you'll find an option to send to a FTP
site. Click on Outbound messages until you see 'toss to an FTP site' come
up, then drop down to Configure and enter the particulars of the node
you're configuring. When all else fails, there is a IREX info document available using the F1 key. Don't forget to select Node active and answer
YES to it and Crash Mail if you wish mail to go out right away. Also make
sure that Inbound messages is configed the way you want that to work.

Upon exit back to Node manager, you should see the node address, three
letter characters and the sysops name, all on one line. The three letters indicate what that node's config is. B means BinkD, F means FTP and Y or N means the node is either active, or not, as in FFY or FFN for an FTP
node...

Try configuring 10 or 15 nodes with different ways of file transfers,
etc..

When you look at the list of nodes, those letters and -'s will jump out at
you.

That depends(tm)...the software that I'm presently using in place of Irex
has more nodes in it than my (50 node max license) Irex has.

Try using the IP address for d1st.org instead of the FQDN.
