• Music Biz/Personal Assistants

From DOUG GILBY@1:247/101 to ALL on Wed May 16 16:16:04 2001
Hi All, its me again! :)

I am looking for a few personal assistants that have time to spend with
me on a buisness plan... oriented towards a trusting relationship in the
music buisness. I need someone that has the time to pound the pavement
if need be. They will need to give there full attention, and hopefully
see the big picture. I am in Canada so will need someone that is close
to me here, I don't wish to carry on a distant relationship with this situation... I am about 20 minutes from Niagara Falls Canada. I don't
currently have the funding to hire anyone for time spent at this point
but as it comes into reality, I see that will be the next step.

let me know if anyone is interested.

    Doug Gilby

you can leave me email to at wx968@victoria.tc.ca for now.

Don't get me wrong... I'm not being rude, but...

    1) You're not going to get much for free in this business. You're almost
certain NOT to find anyone to "give there [sic] full attention" for
free. I've been in the "music biz" (on a top-level professional level)
for about 23+ years, and I don't think I've *ever* ran into anyone worth
a damn that "did it for free". Again, not being rude, just honest.

    2) You'd be better off running a small ad in a local paper, or perhaps some
local "music scene" paper there. There's not many in this echo from
Niagara Falls, so you're kinda wasting your breath.

    3) You should be more clear as to what you expect this person to do (for
free) for you and your career. You're giving no information now other
than "I want you to do something, and do it for free", which really
isn't going to attract anyone, sorry to say.

Hi Gary, no not being rude at all thanks for your input... I value your information... I was hoping to start at ground level.. not one
hundred percent yet... that comes with the big picture.. I am not
expecting anyone to put there trust and time in to this for free..

I hope as we do a little correspondence we can get to the point we
see the big picture and are making it work... all with the future in
mind... I am hoping It will be a good experience to take this from
the ground up... hope to see peoples interests other then my own...

    Thanks for your reply

    Doug
