Speaking of which, it's now barely over a month away, Oct. 12-15., depending on who gets here when and how long they stay. McHarg
may be bringing some more Canucks down with him. Gonna be a
    great one this year!

Hey, Bill... I've worked off and on over the past few years with a
local singer-songwriter named Steve van Gelder, both performing, and
helping him record a couple of CDs. As it turns out, he's heading off
for a long vacation, starting on October 1st, and is going to be
driving down through the U.S., with some CDs in hand, and the hope of
getting a few casual gigs along the way. Anyway, I mentioned the Fido
Jam to him and he expressed some real excitement about it and said he'd
love to drop in and say, 'Hi!' - if that's okay with you, of course.
Anyway, his name is Steve van Gelder. He's not on Fidonet, but if
you've an e-mail address, he can reach you that way. FWIW, Steve's
    e-mail address is: <vang@smartt.com>

You can reply to me via e-mail if you like. Let me know feel about
    a 'non-Fidonetter' dropping in. ;-)

I can be reached at: <mcridgley@bigfoot.com>

    Cheers,
    Martin

Not a problem at all, it would be great to have him drop by. I'll try to fire you off an e-mail later today. BTW, my e-mail is: 59Flametop@home.com

I went to see John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers and Peter Green and the Splinter group last night on a double bill. Mayall was hot, had people dancing
in the aisles, something I haven't seen in a theatre in 20 years. He has a new
guitar player that makes me look little and dainty, hell, he's make Leslie West
look little in his prime. But man can that guy play. Mayall has always managed to find great players and this is another one. I didn't catch his nmae, the PA was less than wonderful, but he's worth hearing. Sounds like he's
from the southern states in the U.S. from his accent. Guy sings well too.

Green and company really stank. Mayall blew them off the stage. There was only twice in the entire night Peter took a lead. When he did he came across like the Green God of old. But he just let Nigel Watson play all the leads and
seemed bored singing for the most part. On the good side, he seemed really alert and together after the show. Signed autographes and was quite chatty. Took my Les Paul with me (a feat in itself in those old small theatre seats. The Aladdin, for you locals.) He posed for pictures with John and I, so if they turn out it'll be great and gave myself and Haden a couple of his picks. If he's have showed that kind of enthusiasm on stage...Oh Well.
