  • No personal mail scan?

    Hello everybody!

    I'm using GoldEd+ with MBSE (JAM messagebase) and for some reason, GED isn't performing personal mail scans correctly. It always reports "no personal mail found" when there is mail addressed to me.

    I have the following keywords defined in GOLDED.CFG:

    USERNAME Sean Dennis
    AREAPMSCAN *
    PERSONALMAIL ALLNAMES

    Is there anything specific I need to do to get this to work? I never had an issue with GoldEd/2 v3.0.1 so I'm not sure if I'm overlooking a step or a keyword somewhere.

    You did a 1:1 config copy from your working previous installation?
    Then i have no idea. Sometimes the sequence of the keywords matter.

    You config should work. To give it a last try you could add startup:

    PERSONALMAIL <startup,allnames>

    Specifies options regarding the personal mail scan feature. None
    of them are enabled by default.

    If the "startup" option is used, GoldED scans for personal mail
    while doing the startup mail scan.

    If the "allnames" option is used, GoldED scans for mail to all the
    USERNAME's instead of only the first. The default is not to scan
    for personal mail at startup and to scan only for the first name.
    This is faster.

    Example:

    PERSONALMAIL Startup, AllNames

    The example makes GoldED scan for personal mail to all your
    USERNAME's at startup.
