• Running Synchronet on Windows server 2003

    Greetings,

I am encountering an error when trying to run sbbs on windows server 2003.

I have service pack 2 installed, as well as the vcpp 2015 and 2010 frameworks.

At the end of the installer, and when starting the sbbs control panel, i get the error:

The procedure entry point inet_ntop could not be located in the dll WS2_32.dll.

I have an old pentium pro server i am trying to get my bbs running on and server 2k3 looked to be the best bet to still be able to run some old dos doors without having to resort to unix and dos emulation.

any help on this matter is much appriciated.

This is the wrong message area for Synchronet support questions https://wiki.synchro.net/howto:support

That said, this issue should be resolved in v3.20a (still in a development, but available for sysops to use now):
