    Yes. And in the opposite direction, the same thing happens. Files are downloaded from Telegram servers and encoded in UUE. ;)

    Not certainly in that way. In Telegram, they are displayed as files of the corresponding type. Just take a look at these groups and it will become clearer how it happens.
    Now BBS has settings for each group, how exactly to display files in Telegram and Fido, as links, as files (UUE in Fido), or both at the same time (default).
