My current garden comprises of 3x hmmm ~14" pots outside my front door. Despite the southern location, Melbourne, there's a Frangipani out there, rhubarb and the third which I bunged a variety of herb cuttings into, of which the sole survivor appears to be vietnamese mint also has had 3 Chrysanthemums surviving from Mother's Day jammed in there as well.
