    Hi,

    I am currently trying to setup fidonet here. The issue I am having is, I have created a new netmail area for fido (why doesn't Mystic AKA match!), sent an areafix request, get a reply, Mystic import's it, but I can't find it. The
    logs give little to no detail. I do notice however the pkt password field in the node editor only allows 8 characters, my password is 9. I could use some belp please

    Mark

    Maybe this will help some!

    Mystic will do this if you just run one netmail base to cover all networks.

    match!), sent an areafix request, get a reply, Mystic import's it, but I can't find it. The logs give little to no detail. I do notice however

    It's likely the reply is a netmail addressed to your real name or a name not linked to your user account. Mystic can remap netmail set to one name to another e.g.

    ; If you want to remap netmail from one user name to another, you can
    ; define up to 50 remapped names below using the format <orig>;<new>
    ;

    forward = sysop;Paul Hayton
    forward = system operator;Paul Hayton
    forward = postmaster;Paul Hayton
    forward = Paul;Paul Hayton
    forward = Paul H;Paul Hayton
    forward = P Hayton;Paul Hayton
    forward = Paul Haydon;Paul Hayton

    this ensures netmails sent to me as Avon makes it to my actual logged in user of Paul Hayton...

    can't find it. The logs give little to no detail. I do notice however

    if you don't need a packet password, don't set it, it's just another layer of complication. If you do set passwords keep all upper case and limited to no more than 8 chars, use A-Z and 0-9 and stay away from symbols.
