  • QWK on Mystic?

    Howdy,

    I'm wondering if QWK worked on Mystic and what do I have to do differently to get it working? I've never used QWK before.

    I think it works but it really depends on what you want to do with it. I have a DoveNet feed from the synchronet HQ via qwk and it works great.

    I think it works but it really depends on what you want to do with it. I have a DoveNet feed from the synchronet HQ via qwk and it works great.

    I was thinking of connecting to dovenet and another one that uses qwk but I've never used it before so I'll have to see if I can get it running.

    Funny you should mention this because I just got QWK working on my Mystic BBS today. It's not very difficult if you have some step-by-step directions. I just joined the Musicnet QWK network set up by Digital Distortion. There are instructions on how to set it up on the site. Once you set up one QWK network, you should be able to set up more. Go to:

    I pull FTN traffic from DoveNet and WeedNet just fine, but my users say theres issues with QWK messaging locally... like;

    FTNs work fine (for sysops)
    DLing QWK packets have issues (for users)

    The bummer to me is...why is this documentation on the Synchronet wiki? Hmm, we Mystic sysops need to do a better job of writing docs...
