Hello All,

I have the lastest Mystic BBS installed, I am connected FSXNET, VKRADIO, DOVENET, and TQWNETwith no issues with them. I connected to MetroNet over a month ago. I have not recieved any mail yet, I was told it has been a little slow but there is activity. I did go thru Areafix and all the message bases are turned on. I do conect and dont see any issues there. If I do %LIST my echo_tags match up with what is on there

What would my next step be to troubleshoot this?

OK This is bringing back some horrible memories to me! I had a LOT of trouble receiving mail from MetroNET. I seem to remember the problem being that they didn't use passwords or something and the mystic tosser was throwing my messages into an unsecure directory and tossing them out.

To get around this issue, I had to copy the echomail\in\unsecure\F*.* files into my echomail\in directory before running ImportEchoMail and FileToss. I never could ge it to work any other way.

Check your logs, namely the mainin.xxxx.log and mailout.xxxx.log they will give you the answers you need. I joined WINSNET recently because I am playing with my old WildCat! v5 board from the mid 90's that I ran, and wasn't getting anything, because of another issue I am having I looked at the mailin log and saw there was activity in WINSNET and I had the wrong pkt password. I removed the password and started seeing activity.. Check there they are you best friend..

I would try logging into another BBS that carries that network and try posting from there to see if your message comes through to your system.

yeah, I did post a test message and it says sent but when I went to another BBS that carries MetroNET and it was a few days later (so it should have gotten there by then) and nothing. At least it gives me something to work on. I just use the BBS for myself right now (and a few friends that wanted to see what a BBS was, logged on) So as I get time, all these little things get worked on. Its a really cool hobby.. and a lot of fun!!

I was having an issue receiving messages. My messages were getting to the other systems but they were getting deleted when my mail tosser tried to process incoming mail. Are you using 25:25/0 for your feed? His system doesn't support BinkP passwords so the messages come back unsecured which seems to be an issue with Mystic. If your messages aren't getting out though, make sure you have the Export set up in your message base. If you need to test or anything your welcome to use davesbbs.com. The General echo is open to all users
