Wondering if anyone else is seeing this... The Page SysOp function is not
doing anything when I press 'p'.

Running:
Mystic 1.12a46
Raspberry pi 3B+ (stretch)
128GB micro sd

Since, I'm new to Mystic, I've installed a few different ways... including installing under /home/pi/mystic and /mystic... interestingly, installing
under /mystic does fix a problem with sending messages to a hub.

But, no matter what I've done, Page SysOp will not work. Any thoughts or
advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It's not something you've done. The sysop page function doesn't do anything under linux.

What do you want the paging to do? in iChat there is a function to page your phone through Pushover messages.

That coupled with an hidden password channel on IRC makes realtime paging and chat with sysop possible.

What type of system do you use? You could install some kind of 'dinger' on your OS, and create a script file to call it...

I use Linux, so I could find a 'dinger' app, or use 'aplay' to play some .wav or sound file and write a .sh bash script to run that command.

Then, using Mystic's built-in acs system, you could set that menu command to only work during specific hours, or... etc.

i notice it works only on my win10 32b but not on my 64b. If you open a cmd and ctrl-g it will beep and you will see ^G.

Ah! I hadn't gotten that far, but I could definitely do that. I was
originally thinking something was missing or broken. I'm running on rpi 3b+, but will be trying to upgrade to rpi4. Thanks, so much for that!!!

Thank you for the offer! I finished the SysOp pager ding now... i think it came out pretty well... what I'm really stuck on is rusty... I really need help drawing a cyborg hedgehog in ansi...

I envision a hedgehog with one red borg looking eye, a mechanical leg and an exposed side where you can see some internal mechanisms... but, am having a really difficult time getting started.

Also, I opened the site... not officially yet, but if you want to take a look at the mess I made so far, you're more than welcome to check it out... ALL the games work... I had to fix most of them, but they all work now... including, Dr. Who Roguelike... which is really quite clever... I like that one...

Why not start by finding a image online? I checked there are enough cyborg sonics around ;).

Put the image through an jpg to ansi generator. You can start from there
