I missed the thread where you were working on this. I'm sure the issue
can be resolved. It can be frustrating, but it's also mentally stimulating.
If you haven't already, I'd recommend to provide screenshots of your echomail settings and your node settings, and also a copy of your mutil.ini
If I can't help you resolve it then that's because I'm a lamer, but I'll try! I got mine working by asking quetions in here and on Scinet.
