My Friday just started, and the office is a lovely 44F, I can see my own breath sitting at my desk. Thankfully I was able to move to another building for today. The upside is the server room A/C is very happy and napping.

Pizza sounds great for a Friday.

Tonight we had a BBQ and I did some sausages and some onion on it, we had it with a salad. The weather is meant to turn cold and quite nasty for the coming 2-3 days but hopefully will then bounce back to a mild early autumn.

Eeek, sounds too cool for me, we're just sliding into Autumn over here with a bad cold snap expected in the coming days...

Pizza was good, BBQ tonight and the plan was to do a roast leg of lamb (special treat) tomorrow as one of my kids is having a birthday, but she's not coming over now (feeling unwell) so we're putting that one off until the following week.

I spent Sat working in the morning outside doing gardening chores, trimmed some hedges and pruned back a rose bush. Got jabbed a bunch of times and have a thorn in the tip of one finger I am typing with at the moment... gotta dig the sucker out... makes typing a whole new experience :)

Did a drive this afternoon and went out to a place called Larnach's Castle which we have a annual pass to get in and see.. tourists like it, we just walked around the gardens this time, which was nice and it was warm/sunny today.

Tomorrow I expect we're going to go look at hedge trimmers (the one I have is getting old and worn out) and a cafe visit that involves coffee and a cheese roll is part of the plan.

We could run a quick straw poll to see who has certain days for certain foods. For me it's often at least one day either Fri-Sun where we will buy some takeaways... ranging from Fish & Chips (is this a thing where you live?), Pizza, Chinese Takeaways etc.

Might be a combination of the two. It's a long movie, visually stunning.
Did a good job of keeping to the book.

It's hard to see the current cast and think back to Kyle Maclachlan,
Sean Young, and Sting in the 1984 version.

I read in an interview that Austin Butler met Sting, and he offered to
loan him the flying wing codpiece that Sting wore in the 1984 version.
Cleaned, of course. He'd taken it from the set.

My BBQ rain cover has been on the BBQ for (I think) 2 or 3 years now, it's starting to look a bit sad, but I hope it can handle another year of wind/snow/rain/sun/cats... etc. It's certainly been a better one than the last one I bought.

My wife is keen to see it although her impression of it is that's a far grittier version of the story (tonal wise) than the 80's version.

Hahah... yes I saw that too... I think if I was offered the chance, I'd pass on that one :)

Settled for Mexican food - some decent Carnitas, delivered. Listened to
the wind whipping through our trees and waiting for breaks in the rain
to walk our dogs one last time for the night.
