Greetings everyone. Hoping this messages reaches you all. Coming back to the BBS scene after nearly 20 years. I must say a lot has changed, but
it also feels somewhat familiar. Looking forward to the journey!

hi there and welcome.
I came back to the scene around 2012 so now having been back some 10+ years I'm feeling older than Jesus. I hope you have fun with BBSing, it's not as it was in the 90s with lots of users calling in, it's really sysops having fun tinkering with their systems and doing stuff that is of interest to them.
Some dive into ANSI art, others mods, I'm more into messaging and chatting in echomail / help keep a BBS community alive and well .. and so it goes.
Yep there are some users who will call your system, and other sysops... my advice is do whatever you do in the hobby for your own enjoyment first and foremost.... don't worry / feel down if few connect in/call etc..
It's certainly a global community albeit not as large as it was in the 90's, the folk here are supportive and will help you out with any questions , chew the fat etc.
The fact that we're not in dial up days now also means a lot of chat can be quite quick at times, with the conversation advancing over the space of a day vs days.
Anywhoo... welcome to fsxNet and back into the BBS scene, I hope you have fun.
