Back in the day I was always been fascinated with the MajorBBS software. Being I was just gettign out on my own with my first job and everything I always considered the software too pricey and out of my league, so I stuck with my Virtual BBS/Virtual Advanced software until the internet made us Sysops obsolete.
The other day I discovered a pre-configured package of Major BBS called "mbbs4ever" so I downloaded it and set it up. I set it up on a seporate VirtualBox image and added a Telnet link to it from my Mystic BBS main menu. Its really neat because it already has some of the teleconference games that I used to enjoy playing on MajorBBS configured.
Anyway, I'm trying to figure out how to "auto-start" the BBS package. It comes with a BBS "pif" file, which launches a batch file. I know how to add a file to the startup in Windows, but I'm not sure how to tell MajorBBS to start. Normally, you have to run the .pif file and then press "5" (or "F5") to actually start the BBS. I haven't found any good documentation yet that tells me so I'm wondering if there are any old MajorBBS gurus out there that may know/remember how to do this?

There's an effort to bring MBBS door functionality to regular BBSes.

mbbsemu, sorry, posting via iPad). It's a very slick project and works with RLogin :)
