If people are interested I can put together the entirely long
instructions for this.
but I wanted to gauge this interest. Is anyone dying to have this on their system (i have the keygen on my BBS)?
I wrote a while back about having gotten TW2002 to run on Linux in multi-node fashion. Dosemu fails to work with this so I ventured down
a rabbit hole a few months back. I have it working soundly now on my 5 node system. I promised to write up the instructions on how to
accomplish this but I wanted to gauge this interest. Is anyone dying
to have this on their system (i have the keygen on my BBS)?

I'm definitely interested in this. TW2002 is one of the reasons my
old OS/2
system still exists. Would love to have it running on my current
Linux BBS.

I've contemplated starting a second BBS just to be able to run TW2002.
Hello Joacim,
I've contemplated starting a second BBS just to be able to run TW2002.
Why a second BBS?
The latest versions (although I don't run them) of trade wars are connectable
by rlogin if I remember right, so you can connect that way to a server
that may
have any number of other BBSs and users connected.
Not the same as running your own door.. but a possibility.
Ttyl :-),

Because my BBS runs on a Amiga 2000 computer. Hence no MS-DOS. :)
I use TWGS which runs fine in xorg on wine and accepts incoming
RLogin connections (or telnet if needed) directly from your main
BBS.
Does your server accept connections from other BBSs?

I am running a C-Net Amiga board, if you want to run Tradewars all you have to do is grab GameSvr and install it on there, then RLOGIN into the GameSvr, if you do not have RLOGIN, then just TELNET into it If you are running C-Net it is very easy to do as I am at the moment Telnetting
into my GameSvr from C-Net.. The next version of C-Net will have RLOGIN capabilities..
We have a TradeWars game server running on SciNet that is
accessible via rlogin to other bbses. twgs.diskshop.ca using rlogin
should get you connected.
Running TWGS is much easier than this and will support concurrence a lot better, FYI.
