Does anybody know, if pass thru echoes are checked for dupes? ie - is there a CRC check done on those messages? If not, how hard would it be
    to incorporate that?

I think if you have CheckPathForDupes toggled to TRUE, it will. Not sure CRCs are checked though.

That would be in the .ini file? I dont recall seeing that anywhere in
    the setup program

You can access that from echocfg under Echomail Settings and toggle Circular Path to Enabled.

I have that enabled almost since day one <G> Apparently Pass Thru is
not checked for dupes, since there is no data base. This from DM.

OK... I stand corrected. I thought all msg's saw the circular path and compared it IF that message was already within your system. Oh well. Maybe some future implimentation for DM.

Circular path detection and dupe detection are different things. That said, sbbsecho does *not* currently check for circular paths on pass-through areas. sbbsecho.c does contain this TODO comment however:
/* TODO: Should circular path detection occur before processing pass-through areas? */

    :-)

Thank you sir.... as always, you're right on top of things... :)

    Be well..
