    I need a DOS utility (existing = best, willing to write: good, spec's
    Ok) that will allow me to extract single messages from a Packet
    (Netmail or Echomail) creating an FTN compatible .MSG file. Please!

    Options for listing header info (one line per message) and/or messages directly from the PKT file would be beneficial, though not required.

    I won't add to the thread on InspectA, or the other PKT tool Martin Foster suggested. But I have two others;

    PKT-TXT1.RAR 9760 08-20-99 Small utility to convert .PKT files to .TXT
    files (human readable). Includes C source. By
    Simon Avery.
    MOON050.RAR 267836 11-20-98 MoonRock is a BASIC-like language with several
    extensions. Produces small and tight
    executables (MS-DOS).

    because the latter contains

    ' PKTLIST -- a sample MoonRock program, by Rowan Crowe.
    '
    ' Lists messages in any fidonet-style PKTs in the current directory.

    MoonRock is a Basic-like compiler that converts source into assembler and assembles it for you using an old freeware version of Arrow Assembler, included. Maybe these between them will do what you want?

    Will try to file attach, if your system will play ball...

    Regards,

    Robert.

    Your system isn't. Again. I get CONNECT, then from your end Intro:
    followed by some ANSI garbage. So I'll add what I think are the correct
    URLs, which I forgot before;

    Tired Dog Software http://www.come.to/tdsoft
    Simon Avery's Fidonet programs and DOS utilities; home of Tag-O-Matic,
    BOD, etc.
    Rowan Crowe's home page http://www.rowan.sensation.net.au/
    Moonrock compiler, etc.

    Simon Avery is 2:255/91. Rowan Crowe is long out of Fidonet, I believe.

    Hope this helps,

    Robert.
