I'm using a BBS software that has it's own built in mail/tosser, and I'd like to use another BBS software as a point. How do I set up FastEcho to work with the existing BBS software?

    hunh?

i /think/ you are saying that you have one bbs with an internal tosser and you are wanting to set up another bbs as a point and use FE on this point system...
    is this correct?

if so, there is nothing to do in FE concerning the existing bbs with builtin tosser... FE doesn't care about it at all... think straight down the line and you'll see why... FE only cares about its inbound, outbound directories and where to toss/scan the mail to/from...

hint: you're existing system would create mail bundles and pkts for the new point then your processing .bat file (or whatever) would move only the stuff for the point to the point's inbound directory... at some point in time, the point's stuff would then process its inbound mail...

you'd have the same thing for outbound from the point... it would generate the outbound mail bundles and pkts which would then need to be moved to your existing system's inbound for processing...

the above is assuming you are going to be doing this all on one physical machine and don't want to have to use a mailer to talk to the other system but that can also be done under the right circumstances instead of the physical moving of the files... of course, if you are going to do this on two machines, then a mailer is the better way unless you have drives mapped across the network but that can get sticky at times...
