• Tossing packets?

From Wayne Steele@3:633/690 to All on Tue Aug 20 09:34:00 2002
    Hi All,

For some reason I can't toss packets that have the following filenames...

.xxa .xxb .xxc and so on it will only toss packets with .xx1 .xx2 .xx3 and so on so any day packets ending with a letter it won't toss has anyone got any ideas?

    I'm running FE 1.46.1 for OS/2

check in feconfig... it's an "option" to extend it's extention tossing to "letters" instead of only numbers...

yours is probably configured to the "default" tossing of XX1...

without looking to make sure, i believe that setting will also go to 'z' for both inbound and outbound...

it does go to 'z''s. Seen frequently on FTP connections to 1:106/1 for feed here to 1:117/100 which uses it.

Sleep well; OS/2's still awake! ;)

You are both quite correct, I just took a second look (and changed them.

<<GG>> i have both of mine set for 1-9 and a-z... it is necessary in this day of immediate delivery... there are times that my system tossing new stuff and at the same time, another batch arrives from the same source...

i don't know what i want to do about allfix uni and its "abort retry ignore" problem that takes all cpu resources and such... i don't want to use the option
to tell cmd.exe or command.exe to just abort and carry on because then it is possible that inbound stuff won't go thru all my procedures because fe might unpack them instead of SPAZ... what to do ;-(
