    Hi Hector

    I received today my WinServer
    I have a basic question concerning Nodes/Licenses....

Let's say there are two Users Connected

    Node 1 - User1 - Telnet
    Node 2 - User1 - Http

this will consume me 2 nodes right?
in other words.. does the license/node count make any difference between
    - Hostname? ( if a user connect from the same host )
    - Does the connection count per User?
    - If a user connect over SMTP + HTTP + TELNET + FTP = -4 nodes ?

Many thanks for your quick reply
    Cheers from Switzerland

I believe node counts against a user, not a service. In other words in
your example where User1 is connected to Node 1 as telnet and node 2 as
http, that would only consume 1 node, since its the same user.

Easier to explain would be consider a "Node" as a unique user. If you have
10 nodes, your can have 10 unique (different) users all connected at the
same time... even of they were connected more than once, as in telnet,
    http, ftp, pop3, smtp.

I hope I helped and didn't make the confusion worse!

Yes this explains my question :-)
    Thank you...

I found another "problem" is there a setting or a fix for the
German/Swiss "umlauts"... if I send a mail within Wildcat (Telnet) to
another user internal the umlauts working perfect. If I try to send a mail from wildcat (telnet) to the internet the umlauts are making troubles.

    Thanks
    Andy
