Just under a year -- not long enough to be declared legally dead. But now
it will die as an open echo instead of the repressive place it had
    become. All bans lifted.

    Hello Earl,

Everyone is now welcome in this near-dead echo. All past user bans are lifted as of today. If anyone wants to be moderator, I will send you the password for the listing.

Before you get your panties wet, here is what Echopol1 has to
say in matters concerning who is, and who is not, Moderator of
    this echo -

    -=begin quote=-

    Echopol1 Segment 1

    16. ADDING OR REMOVING CONFERENCES FROM THE Backbone: A
conference may be added to the Backbone only by request of the
RECOGNIZED Conference Moderator. A conference may be removed
from the Backbone by lack of traffic. A committee composed of the
ZEC and 4 RECs shall review the status of backbone echos every 6
months. At which time those echos which have not maintained a
minimum 10 messages a week over the preceeding 6 months will be
noted and their Conference moderators will be contacted. These
conferences will be given 3 months to improve their traffic or
withdraw from Fidonet backbone distribution. The recognized
conference moderator may request removal of their conference from
the Fidonet backbone distribution at their discretion.

    -=end quote=-

No private elist/echolist has any official status in Fidonet.
The previous moderator left this echo, for reasons of his own,
and has chosen not to return. He is, of course, very welcome
to participate, the same as you and others.

I have posted the rules of this echo several times. There
are only two rules, both of them very simple and easy to remember.
I will post them again, right here, so that you will have no
    excuse -

    1. There are no rules.
    2. See rule number 1.

    That about sums it up.

    Havea nice day.

There are no particular rules to break, as there are none
to speak of, but please abide by Echopol1, this policy being
the parliamentary authority for sysops and non-sysops alike,
keeping in FidoNet's true philosophy, which can be summed
    up in the two rules:

    1) There are no Rules.
    2) See Rule number 1.
