I've been going though a lot of old boxes and looking at computer stuff I have. I'm working on setting up an old 486/66 to run a few programs I need files from. I found my Esterian Conquest register disk. I think I tried to set it up once before over telnet and it failed. Anyone ever have luck with this game. It was my favorite one I had set up back in the DOS days.

That turned out to be easier then I thought. With the original floppy from Bentley with registration files on it I got it to install and run. It's only version 1.1 but it plays. I forgot a lot about it so I am relearning...

I also found a game called Phantasia by Edward Boston that I registered. I can't seem to get the configuration file to run anything but garbage. I downloaded the most current copy I could find online but I still only get garbage. I don't remember this game at all. It's amazing the stuff I've held onto.

So you ended up getting v1.50 running after all then? What ended up being the solution just out of curiosity?

I had help, the *.exe files were updated and I'm not sure what was done with them. Hopefully more to come.

That would be cool! Wouldn't mind setting it up on my system.

Installed Esterian Conquest last night man is it slow mainly so far with
the opening screen but I'm sure most likely when in playing the game.

Anyone else see that on sbbs?

    Thanks...
