Hector,
We're getting ready to upgrade other web site and would like to know
the time frame for Win Server 2000.
If Win Server 2000 will be delivered in 6 months or so I can wait. If
not I will have the credit card and billing build into IIS as a front
end to Win Server.

But I didn't know IIS had a credit card and billing system built in?
Do you mean SSL? Thats really the only think that will happen. You can
do this now with WC5 with the help of a proxy.
A billing system is still an independent general concept. What exactly
is a billing system for Wildcat? THe most that will be done initially
are options to hook up with a merchant account.
In any case, 6 month is a good estimate on the high end. We already
decided that we will not be able to fully complete all the features
so the next version of wildcat will have the top features. In other
words, we will do it in "modules". The next AUP will have Long File
Name support for example.

Thanks for the info Hector,company
What I mean is, we are are paying to to have our site upgraded and the
that we are using wants to use IIS and a shopping cart on the front end of winserver. I am debating if I should spent the money on the shopping cartand
programming or just have them upgrade the site html look and feel, and wait for winserver updates.

Does that mean if we are on AUP, WINServer2k is included?

Then after this first WC6 introduction, we will add LFN to the Message system. The reason for this is because I have not decided on the
final new mail format because I want to implement and test some
64 bit operations to handle large storage requirements.
The new WC6 has been in testing of about 3 months. It is pretty solid
with the new LFN. Some remaining WEB DHTML programming issues to work
with the new "New User" Closed/Validation features needs to be done.
Hope this answers the question.
Hector, R U changing the message format?? Does that mean wcecho will
need updating as well??

I think I did say the mail format will change eventually. If so, then everything else has to change too.
Do you have any idea to what capacity it will be changing and will the
wcSDK provide backward compatibility for existing applications that
interface to WC's message db?
