• NetMail With DBridge

From C.G. Learn to All on Fri Mar 3 11:47:18 2017
Is there a way to post a netmail, or do an instant poll with Dbridge. Everythime I write a netmail, or try to do a manuel poll, it just sits there with a Hold/Unlisted status. All my nodelists are up to date, and when I write a message, or do a manuel poll, it sees the address I'm looking for, so why the Hold/Unlisted status. I've read the dos through many times, but I must be missing the key somewhere, or not comprending what I read. Hope someone can shed some light on this. Even with autopoll set up, they just sit there. Thanks in advance for any help.

Posting your DBRIDGE.CFG or DBRIDGE.AUT file here omitting the passwords would help, if you are of a mind to. In which directory is you nodelist?

    Thanks

First of all, verify the Netmail routing table in Config/Scheduler. The "Un-event" is the event that runs when no other events are running. Press "U" for Un-event Settings. Press Enter or ARROW DOWN until ROUTING is displayed.

Netmail will sit in the Queue on Hold/Unlisted if any of this is true:

    - The destination is a PVT/Unpublished system.

    - The destination is not defined in Config/Internet or ICM/INA/IBN
    resolving has been disabled.

    - The destination is dialup and you do not have a dialup modem AND there is no way to resolve this otherwise in Config/Internet.

OK Nick, I'll check this out, Thanks. I didn't see a thing in the docs about an un event. Now I have something to work with. Thanks again.

the "unevent" event is the event that runs all the time when there are no other
mail events running... mail events are what qualifies mail to be sent... if the
routing and mail events do not qualify certain mail to be sent to a certain system, that mail won't ever go anywhere...

I think I'm slowly getting the hang of the way Dbridge works now, and understanding the setup more. It's a very powerful program, which I am gaining more respect for everyday I work with it. Hopefully, I will be fully converted from IREX this week, and be running Dbridge full time on that node. Thanks for the replies and all the help
